Phyllodes Extraction A. Podalyriifolia

Migrated topic.
..thank you for this report pirateb0b..this kind of research is really needed, whatever the result..certainly, in most known cases, stems would contain more alkaloid than phyllode (but there are exceptions, e.g. longissima with more in phyllode)
..the high DMT content claim turns out not to actually be in the given reference (Hegnauer)
however, White 1951 found simple tryptamine and phenethylamine in Acacia podalyriaefolia..to date most of White's other findings of Tryptamine in acacias have turned out to usually be DMT (e.g. floribunda, acuminata [which he found tryptamine/phenethylamine in] and longifolia varieties)
..due to often rough backyard methodologies i don't really feel this species has been adequately chemically investigated..

..recently, however, Growpen obtained crude alkaloids (in a very rough and first ever attempt at extraction, good on him) from A. podalyriaefolia, which were not really properly bioassayed..see Doseage Issues - Welcome discussion - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

looking forward to the results, pirateb0b..

got pictures? What does it smell like?

oil can mean a lot of things, it might be you have actives in there.. You could try recrystallizing a part of the oils (or re-A/Bing it) and if there's DMT, you might get some crystals out of it. If there's a lot of NMT, it might never really crystallize or be difficult to.

Did you bioassay it yet?

Another idea is getting some reagent like ehrlich or similar, to know if you have tryptamines there.
