Please help w/ extract/evap... and what happened to SyZyGyPSy

I have a few questions.

First off. It seems that naptha will not evap outside when it is 20 degrees. Is it alright to put some water in a crock pot and put the container w/ pulled naptha in it so it will evaporate?


Also, what happened to SyZyGyPSy? Did he change his name? It's no longer listed in Members. He recommended 100herbgalaxy.com and insisted that the powdered bark is extremely good. I'm fairly sure that I'm going through this right, for the most part I've went "by the book" (Nomans Tek) but I did have to double the water/lye because of the powder.

I have decided I will wait until spring or summer before I try again, and I will be sure to have some PH papers to be absolutely sure. But if that time comes and SyZyGyPSy hasn't shown back up and this bark doesn't produce much of anything then my natural paranoia will entice me to think that SyZyGyPSy was the owner of 100herbgalaxy parading as people in the forums trying to get some bunk sold.

That's not really my thought, but Swims wife had made the comment "You watch, that guy that recommended you buy it from there actually works there and you just been had." So now I can't get this thought out of my mind. Oh, how a seed can grow.
(EDIT: I don't really think this. Because SyZyGyPSy seemed rather cool and I'm just wondering where he went mostly so I could has him how Swih went about extracting from the powder so I can tell Swim.)

So come on, can someone who has been here for a while confirm that 100herbgalaxy.com is a good source and answer my first question?


EDIT: P.S. The water in the crock pot on low doesn't even get as hot as my tap water but it is just warm enough to allow naptha to evaporate. So will it damage spice?

Yeah I would say you are safe with the warm water bath to evap the naphtha, just make sure to avoid open flame and use proper ventilation. You won't damage the spice by heating the naphtha.

No clue about SyZyGyPSy but I don't think you have to worry. I can't confirm first hand that 100herbgalaxy.com is a good source, but I've certainly seen it recommended in other forums.

Powdered bark is tough to work with, especially if you are new to the process. When working with powdered MHRB SWIM prefers using an A/B tek like the marsofold tek. Nomans will work just fine with powder, but like you've found out it's necessary to use more water and lye to get the desired results.

SWIM has heard from a couple people first hand that 100herb sells bunk, SWIM was shocked after reading EXCELLENT reports on them. You may be onto something about SyZyGyPSy as everyone was transferred to the new forum, where did he go? plus those reports on 100 herb seemed too good to be true to SWIM.

But these are just SWIM's thoughts as he was too considering going to 100 herb, but is yet to do so.

actually after gypsy recomended 100 herb galaxy swim ordered from them he placed order on the 16th order got shipped on the 24th and arrived on the 25 it was half pound pre powdered beautiful purppl pink bark swim said he had very positive results he also used nomans tek with no problems

Like I said, "that evil seed sprouts paranoia". Actually, I am now of the opinion that all is well. After swim doubled the water/lye mixture, I believe the pulls increased massively. It seems the powder doesn't want to give it up unless it is more liquid consistency than thick oil consistency.

I am in the process of uploading Swims pics and will put it in the thread Losing virginity... Time to pop the DMT cherry... First extraction

When I get the pics uploaded please check it and give me input. Swim and I would greatly appreciate thoughts, opinions, ideas, and whatever other input you might have.

yep, that's what has been noticed. the powder seems to create such a thick slurry, that the solvent is trapped and doesn't separate easily. thinning it up is all that's needed i think.

Swim wasn't having problems with the solvent separating from the basified goop. It would actually form 2 very distinct layers within seconds. He even did the no no and gave a few shakes rather than just tipping it end over end. It still separated very quickly.

What Swim seemed to have a problem with was getting the Spice to separate from the basified goop and migrate into the naptha. After doubling the water/lye it seems to work very well. Or at least he thinks it is. He has never tried this before so he doesn't have any experience to be able to say for sure that his results are good.

He is hoping for some feedback from some veterans in the post Losing virginity... Time to pop the DMT cherry... First extraction. He is curious how well it is going.

I just wanted to clear 1 thing up real quick on this.

100herbgalaxy is a WONDERFUL place to order your MHRB.

Swim yielded 1.35% from the powdered stuff. He got 675mg from 50g of powder.

Hello, I'm back from my haitus. I took a break after the forum change, as I had other things that required my time besides posting on this forum. Also I needed time to refocus my intentions in forum posting... I originally started posting to promote the [hypothetical] use of limonene over petroleum solvents, and found I was getting too distracted with random posts that had nothing to do with this goal. Then when I tried to return, there were indeed some techinical difficulties that prevented me from logging on, which have now been cleared up. I missed you all and am glad to be back.

And no, I don't work for 100 herb. But as you see their bark is good, as is their P. v., assuming one knows what one is doing.

Glad to hear everything worked out alright.
