Preparing the DMT material

I am aware that many people (q21q21) use a tincture whether it's vinegar or alcohol. It would make sense to store weight in these kinds of tinctures. However, how would one prepare a single dose of DMT to vaporize in the machine?

Would dissolving the weighted crystals into vinegar and evaporating the vinegar off (to create the swabbable goo) work the same way as using a regular tincture with a set weight per drop? Otherwise, how would one use the machine to smoke crystals?

If it does, I'd assume the amount of vinegar used for that single dose wouldn't really matter if you're going to evaporate it off anyways? Should you use more or try to use enough vinegar to dissolve the DMT?

How do you guys prepare the DMT for consumption? (I'm not interested in changa at the moment).

The higher the ratio vinegar to spice the longer it will take for a dose to evaporate...

I believe that 1 ml of vinegar can hold 150 mg of spice - read it in a thread somewhere in these pages, don't remember which one - you may want to verify this

I think you may want to dilute it more than that though or dosing accurately will have to be done in increments that would be too big... I think 5 mg of dmt per drop would be workable, a ml usually being several drops depending on your dropper...

Check your dropper so you know how many drops go into a ml, then start calculating, do you want one drop to be 25 mg, or do you want to use 5 or 10 drops to get up to 25 mg? The math is not that hard...

Hm... I can't PM you but i don't think we're on the same page. Storage wise with bigger weight would make sense with what you're saying. But I'm saying if a tek yields for example a gram and I want to try it before dissolving the larger weight in a tincture is it possible to just weight out 25mg and dissolve that into vinegar like you would normally do with a dropper and proceed to evap it off? I wouldn't even use a dropper. I was thinking a small cup or something and making the mini tincture in there.

Am I making sense? Haha, I'm having trouble speaking my mind...

If I understand you correctly (which I didn't at first) you want to dissolve only 25 mg as an experiment before moving on to larger quantities...

Errrm, if you have freebase why dissolve it into vinegar to let it evaporat then smoke it? Why not use the freebase as-is? Your evapped dose will taste of vinegar, nasty... Tinctures are mainly interesting for oral or sublingual dosing...

But I get the point, you want to try this because storing a tincture seems better/easier to you than storing freebase...

A few of the smallest drops of vinegar that you can produce should be sufficient to dissolve your 25 mg dose...

Hmm... I thought the Machine exclusively uses tinctures. I guess I'm wrong! Thanks for the help!

How would you smoke the freebase using a machine though?

Prepare your freebase dmt dose. On a folded card or use a funnel or something..,
then hold a lighter under the neck of the bottle (where the steel mesh should be)and rotate the bottle over the flame for a short while until the steel wool gets warm, not to hot.

Then carefully drop your dose onto the steel wool. If warm enough it should melt into the mesh. If not melting carefully wave your lighter just above the spice on the wool until it melts and sinks in.

You can store a dose in the machine for later like this as it will be stuck inside the wool
When ready to smoke apply tthe flame at the end of the bottle and inhale. You want your flame just barely NOT touching the steel wool.

Ahh. So you want to exercise precaution when melting the DMT right? You wouldn't want to vaporize the dmt when it's not even on the Machine. How would I do this?
