Primus is my all time favorite band, I'm sure some of you have heard it.

Has anyone tried using dmt while listening to them??

To me primus is very inspiring to me and very profound in ways I find hard to explain!
I am very curious as to what might occur with dmt, but very cautious at the same time.
I know primus has a psychedelic kick to it, but it is very eerie and I dont want anything scary. Right now at least. I have been in a very emotional time of my life, and last time I did dmt to sphongle a couple days ago in nearly reduced me.

Any thoughts at all?

Good vibes and love from

This alone would make me not try it. Primus freaks me out! I'm too much of a wimp to listen to them regularly. They remind me of the chaotic out of control feeling of a mushroom trip gone sour. I still think they're pretty cool, though.

I personally like very mellow smooth instrumental music for tripping.

Then again, Primus might be the ticket! I don't know. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm as confused as you are. :?:

i haven't broken through to primus, but i have done low doses while listening a couple times.

primarily i listen to them on mushrooms.

for breakthroughs i tend to limit it to ott and shpongle (if anything).

I could see it in a mix for a longer trip like mushrooms or acid where you'll move on to a new song with a different feel. It's actually really fun to ride that changing vibe sometimes. Surprise and even shock can be a good thing I think, makes the brain go pop. :surprised I have listened to some pretty extreme and outside free jazz while tripping, and it is usually really comforting and even sort of cleansing when the music moves on to a more calm space.

But for something short and intense like DMT, Primus seems like a pretty strong vibe. Especially for your first time. Then again, I really dislike most death metal but have met people who trip to it. To me that would be like putting my head in a metal bucket and hitting it with a hammer while tripping.

Music is definitely going to influence the trip. Chose something that will help take you where you want to go.

I used to trip on low to moderate doses of acid to Primus quite a bit in my younger days- fact I always thought that's what sailing the seas of cheese meant :) . Heavy rock has always been and is still my favorite genre, and I always liked the tight musicianship and time changes of Primus (and Mr. Bungle- same feel to me) under heightened senses. Course I also tripped to bands like Tool, Butthole Surfers, Jane's Addiction, even Ministry and Slayer (I thought blasphemy against social conventions and how serious those guys took themselves hysterical in my teens). That being said, all of those trips were lower doses where all I was seeking was good laughs and bonding with the people around me. I haven't done DMT yet and don't expect to be able to extract until my kids spend a week with my parents during the summer, but I can't imagine those being good choices for heavy doses of any psychedelic or any spiritual or seeking type journey.
