Psychotria Capensis

This plant grows all around swim and swim thinks it may be full of spice - swim is going to do a fasa on some plant material - can fresh leaves be used while working with other psychotrias ?or must swim dry the plant material.

The berries go from yellow to red to black as they ripen.

yeah for sure - i know it has some poisonous members but i thought i may try.
if i did a stb then fasa on it then wash with naptha - what else could be freeze precipped out ?

With unknown plants like this you NEVER know what could be extracted out of it and until proven otherwise I would highly advise you NOT to use any extract from this plant, you can possibly kill yourself!

I wouldn't say vomiting is an indication of toxins, however I do completey agree that its best to never experiment with unknown botanicals, you really could kill yourself, as Mr.Traveler stated.
 
I have not been able to find much about this plant either. Buuuuuuuuuuut.... while flirting with a girl at a party, she said that she would extract it anyway.

She basically said these things:

1) she would go STB; plenty of alkaloids (including potentially toxic ones, but not dmt) could be destroyed at this pH.

2) she would check some physical properties of the (if any!) extracted alkaloids, like melting temperature or boiling temperature. If the alkaloids melt at around 40-50 C and evaporate at around 60-70 C, this could be a good indication for dmt

3) should the latter be fine, bioassays should start low, maybe 5mg (?) and proceed upwards accordingly.

4) report back!
 
hey well luckily im not a moron - swim will play with this plant and test the outcome as suggested via melting temps etc... - there is no way swim is going to sample some any time soon but i feel this kind of work needs to be done, swim is also testing various acacia spp's. The intent is not to get a smokable yeild but rather to find out if it could be used at some stage. a hell of a lot of testing would need to be done before swim tests it. perhaps even some chromatography.
 
Exactly. SWIY should also have some actual dmt to compare with whatever test is performed to whatever gets extracted out of the psychotria capensis plant.

From melting and boiling temperatures to chromatographic and/of MS characterisation, dmt (from MHRB or p.viridis or even synthetic) needs to be SWIY's control

(Should you manage to kill yourself, I will renounce you a martyr or a saint of the psychedelic community. A picture of you will be decorating the temples of Coatl's church and the temple of Jurema's way church. I will even arrange to pay for the funeral fees.:lol: )
 
for sure dude - if swim needs the spice mhrb is ordered but i feel there needs to be more ppl out there running thru the plants and testing them for actives. a good start is to go thru other members of plant families with known activity - this is why i chose psychotria and acacia.
