So I have 10 green shoots popping up which I bought from a reputable seller of cacti and seeds. The strain is San Pedro (Pachanoi).

What I am wondering is what is the likely genetics of these seeds, if it can be determined? Do most seeds come from a known source? Is it possible that the seeds come from the pachaNOT or P.C (predominant cultivar) pachanoi? I understand each of these new cacti will be unique on its own, not a clone, and have individual yields if I wish to harvest in the future (yeah right, as if I wouldn't!). Would I be growing a more viable true pachanoi if from seed?

Or, like most questions regarding cactus and genetics, am I just yapping in the dark?

Any advice and experience much appreciated.

luckily the weak pc clone isn't self fertile

so odds are you will get unique blood

I'd send an email to the vendor to ask for a bit more history about where the seeds came from. A reputable one shouldn't have a problem giving you more info. I think that the PC strain is just available as clones/cuttings but I might be wrong about that.
