This is good, these are all artists that I have never heard of (with the exception of Dj Vladim). Just listened to a bit of DJ Shadow. He is quite good, however from the few songs I listened to I felt that he was a little bit heavy for me. Great artist though.Spiced said:Nightmares on Wax are great too, also love 'em, other great DJ's are DJ Spooky he has a very broad musical taste, he's a genius imo, DJ Krush, Dan The Automator, DJ Format, DJ Logic, DJ Food, DJ Kentaro, sometimes DJ Premier but it's not all good, DJ Yoda, DJ Wally, Dj Vladim, Dj Qbert etc, i understand why you dislike the aggressiveness, i also perfer the warm positive vibes, but sometimes i like more heavy hiphop, depends on my mood, but not the gangster stuff, i'm not interested in lyrics about bitches big cars and yewels, but i don't mind aggressive lyrics, as long as they are mature and sincere, and about real life, there's got to be a certain vibe to it though.
They are not underrated where I live, most of my friends really enjoy them. I just don't have any time for them. :roll:Touche Guevara said:The Flobots are underrated.
Such a good compilation of hip hop, do you happen to know where I can download it from? (EDIT: I am not a fag, I just can't see anywhere that I can buy it from)benzyme said:don't sleep

i've been paying attention to hip-hop since 1984, and i'd have to agree with these ppl commenting on this mix... probably the best mix ever; highlights the current wave (third), 1999-2009.
for those who dig jazzy hip-hop, check out J-Rocc's Blue Note mix on percussionlab; you'll hear where all the familiar golden era hip-hop tracks got their samples from.
Couldn't agree more. :d :d :dbenzyme said:pure hip-hop has been/always will be about rapping about styles; slick flow, witty allegories, and wordplay.
