recrystalization help please

Swim is a first timer that is overwhelmed by all the different techniques out their on reX.
Can someone just give me a down to earth quick summary on the subject? And answer a few ?'s.

Half of it (dmt) looks beatiful, just like snow bringing the ? are the crystals supposed to be kinda waxy/sticky? It tastes and works great, my goal if possible (besides cleaning) is to get a solider more chard like product/ large hard clear crystals. Is that possible?

The other half has a light brown tint to it that I definately want clean.

The materials I have to work with are non flame cookers (crock, dbl. boiler), naptha, toulene, acetone, shot glasses, and regular household items.

Also, what is a pipette? Would an eyedropper be the same?

well first of all this is a pipette it took me 30sec to google it

you can use this tek for rex but instead heptane use naphtha - read the whole thread before you start

DMT is slightly waxy and can be slightly sticky too. To make big crystals you should recrystallize and do a very slow evap. This is the recrystallization tek I first used and it works great!

When doing a slow evap you may have some slight oxidation, but it shouldn't make a difference to the experience. Just put your solvent, after the re-x, into a glass and place a piece of cardboard covering the mouth, but slightly offset so the solvent evaporates more slowly.

Another way is cooling the solvent at a slow rate. So put your sealed container containing the saturated naphtha on a windowsill (if winter) and then into the fridge for a couple hrs, then freezer for a couple hrs, then back into fridge, etc. The slow cooling will form larger crystals than if shuving the solvent straight into the freezer.

Cool. I got the gist of it now. Could'nt see the pics I'm guessing cause I'm a new/restricted member, but it was explained clearly enough.
