Refining jimjam

Ok so swim had Jimjam in a vial for a long time. Swim decided it did not like how inaccurate the dosing was so it decided to try to refine crystal from the goo. It thought if it mixed the Jimjim jam in with naphtha then did a freeze precipitation of the solvent swim would get the desired result but after doing so the freeze yielded very little. How would one get the dmt in the Jimjim to dissolve in the solvent?

Place the Jimjam into a shot glass, and for every gram of product add 40ml of hot naptha. Mix this around and get as much to dissolve as possible. Filter out anything that doesn't disolve, cover the shot glass, and place it in the freezer.

After about 48 hours take it out and there should be some nice crystals.

i believe that the ostensible difficulty in dissolving the dmt out of jim-jam is what led to the myth of jungle spice being a different molecule than dmt.

Convert to fumarates and precipitate slowly then re-basify and use naptha for a crystaline compound or use a full spec solvent like IPA to preserve the full spectrum extract.

Is there an advantage to pass through the fumarate step ? If jimjam is already dissolved in water, why not just basify and pull with a NPS (naphtha, heptane or hexane for DMT or xylene, toluen for a wider spectrum)?

that is what I was thinking. I know if it dissolves in water it is in salt form. But I never knew one could smoke it in salt form. It has powerful effects. Strange it is in salt form. It was pulled from a basification

Yes it cleans the extract separating it from impurities leaving an easily washable extract by non-polar and polar solvents, then the base is done with minimal non-alkaloid material in the solution and not much water or solvent is needed. It crystallizes it stage by stage one type of crystal then solidify into another. It is essentially a mini acid-base but a concentrated efficient one. A reX after the pull would produce a very clean crystalline freebase Im sure.

Smoking the jimjam salts wont be kind on your lungs and is surely going to use more to get the desired effects.
