Regarding precipitation of dmt.

In my experience, dmt dissolves more at the bottom of the solution, probably because of its mass. When separating the solution from the solution, I inevitably miss taking it out and the yield of dmt goes down. Is there any way to do this?
 
Do you mean when you're pulling with a pipette, you can't get it all or do you mean when you're draining the solution from the pan, it spills?
 
Do another couple of pulls, the left over DMT will get carried over into that.

If you're having trouble as a result of the width of the neck of your extraction vessel, the very last thin layer of NPS can be retrieved by pressing an inverted funnel of the appropriate size down into the 'soup'. The NPS then gets collected in the neck of the funnel for easier pipetting.
