And I'm sure in the segment you would include a paragraph stressing the need for a responsible approach, with ethical and sustainability issues emphasized
You're EXACTLY right there
colour.
I think this of
utmost importance to get the message out there that
twigs &
phyllodes are the answer. This really needs to become "the norm" and common language whenever we are referring to harvesting Acacia's..
When I read the 2nd issue, I remember reading a section talking about ACRB, and I thought "I hope this doesn't make people just think of Acacia and Root Bark".
Thanks for bringing this to attention. I didn't necessarily want to put a section for extraction, but actually, it probably should include a point on harvesting sustainably and ethically.

It could make for a great read, although I think quite substantial? You propose to address a wide range of aspects (if you will be the sole author, having co-authors might have made my response a little different) not that there's anything wrong with that, but maybe you could condense it for a manuscript submission? For instance, take hostilis' article in issue 2 of the Nexian, that presents a practical guide to cacti cultivation. It has a focus on particular aspect of cacti, cultivation, and was structured accordingly.
I didn't intend to be negative about your proposal in anyway (sorry if it came across that way), and I think it has the potential to be fantastic article. You could write a very informative and educational piece, regardless if it is run in the Nexian, that many could benefit from.
No colour, I haven't taken any of your input negatively. They are all good points, and I appreciate your feedback.
You're right. It will need to be condensed and likely require some parts removed.
Maybe something along the lines of:
* A quick intro about Acacia's containing various alkaloid profile.
* Top 8 Acacia's to grow worldwide, with some general tips on growing them.
* The main 3 things to look for when ID'ing Acacias (phyllodes, flowers, seeds), with an emphasis of the point that it's better harvesting twigs & phyllodes than bark.
EDIT:
* Some information on the history of Acacia usage in various cultures.
There's probably an entire book of content ALONE on this from Nen. Though would be nice to mention a sentence or referral to more information
