Rue purification questions. Sodium Carbonate in my final?

I used CosmicLions method of purifying crude rue extract. I am concerned that I may have sodium carbonate in my final product.

I followed the process he describes exactly, except that I started with 2.0g of crude.

What worries me is, my remaining sodium carb water grew tons of crystals in the bottom of the jar. Did I not wait long enough to filter the excess? I only noticed the crystals after I had done the process. If those crystals formed in the dish would they not do the same in the final fridge stage?

The result looks fine and is drying now. It is light tan and has a much more powdery consistency than the crude that I started with. It looks like the images CosmicLion posted.

After drying I have .8g from 2.0g it seems that I have taken heavy losses and probably don't have carbonate in the final product.

Any suggestions on how to get the rest of my rue extract from the solution?

The point of a purification is that losses will occur. The losses are the inactives that were in the extract.
If, when adding sodium carb to the remaining solution, no new precipitation occurs, .8g will be the final yield.
