Which seed are we meant to have been looking at? And where did it get the germanium from?
;)
zoom picture....look close at the glass tube...you will see little root tips sprouting from the seeds! this happened in 96 proof evercleare!

i simply had some rue seed in a small test tube and put evercleare 96 percent alcohol in the tube and let it sit a few days....there is only a very small amount of water in high proof ever cleare

maybe someone could ....cross breed rue with another plant .....to make it less toxic?

Interesting. It seems this phase of the germination process occurs at a relatively low moisture level. I wonder, too, if the ethanol somehow interacts with ethylene receptors, as they're important in cellular signalling in plants.

Alternatively, we could just be looking at an artefact of solvent-induced swelling that happens to mimic the initial phase of germination. It kind of raises the question - what's the maximum tolerable ethanol concentration for germinating seedlings of any given species of plant? And also, is there a level that's more beneficial than water alone?

Maybe vodka will prove to be of benefit in rue cultivation 😆
