Salting Problems

Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone can shed some light here.

I just tryed salting my freebase dmt. Followed instructions as per the DMT handbook. I found however that my furmaric acid would ont dissolve in the recommended ammount of acetone, and the same for my DMT. A added a little bit more to both but still the furmaric acid wouldn't dissolve. I think at best 2/3s dissolved. I added the solutions together and sure enough the mixture turned milky and started to go couldy. But all that seems to remain is a layer of what looks like furmaric acid on the bottom of the glass. No cyrstal forming. I am drying it now. Also there seems to be quite a lot of it. I use 500mg of DMT freebase. Will weight it shortly.

But does this sound right?

DMT freebase should easily dissolve in water. When making FASA you just add excess fumaric acid and then decant/filter away from excess fumaric acid. After yu have two "clean" solutions with no excess of anything on the bottom, you mix them up, and wait for a couple of days till the dmt fumarate precipitates, its not immediate.

If you didnt filter your FASA before adding to the DMT freebase solution, then yure gonna have excess fumaric acid. you can clean this up by washing with cold acetone which should dissolve the excess fumaric acid but not the dmt fumarate. Dont throw anything away till youre done and happy with yields

well, it weighed about a 1/3 more. Tried a very small tester, of which I am very happily peaking on now, however, it still burns to buggery! Why didn't someone say that in the first place.

Is it better to use furmaric DMT in ayahuasca anyone?

HyperspaceFool swore by using coconut cream to help with that..

Personally I havent ever heard of people that use snorting as main ROA, some people try with some or other success but I dont think people keep using that way as opposed to oral/vapped forever.

DMT fumarate (btw, its not fuRmaric acid, its fumaric) works just fine for ayahuasca, just dropped some in your caapi brew Check FAQ for dosages.
