Salvia First Experience

As I can't post anywhere else until I'm not a full member, I'll post here a couple of Salvia Divinorum experiences I wanted to share.

I had not ever had psychodelics before, only Cannabis a few times but I read about Salvia and after reading a lot of people experiences I wanted to give it a try, so I adquiered a 20X extract.

I had no idea how would I react to the experience or what would it be like, even though I already knew a little bit about how would it be. Anyway, I took a hit and waited during 20 seconds, then released the smoke. At first nothing, I only noticed the extra sensibility in the fingers typical of Cannabis too. After a few seconds I had no 3D vision anymore, but a 2D image of all my vision range. Everything was joined together, I mean, there were no borders of surfaces, everything was... 'sticked'.

When the effects were going down I was not satisfied at all, so I took another hit, bigger than the first one. I laid in bed and this is when the big deal appears.

I was in a empty space, void, black room or whatever you want to call it. At that moment I didn't remember that I had taken Salvia. Also I didn't remember who was I or that I had another reality I came from. I saw myself spinning like following the path of a circle, dying and reborning over and over, thousands of times, and a person was in the centre of the spiral. I wanted to talk to him, to look for help but I died too fast for me to be able to do something.
I forgot about that and went to other place, where I was the thread of a tshirt. I just accepted my role. Lots of people were forming a big, a really big wall right in front of me.

I came back to this reality and couldn't believe that I didn't remember about it. Such a powerful experience.

The second experience I had happened a week later. I took a couple of hits and waited. I don't know why but everything felt so weird. The borders of everything were like atoms. When it calmed down a little I was on the floor, just looking at my room.

Two entities were there; I already knew them but the first time they were only shadows. A old man was standing next to the door and a woman was in the other side of my room. They were not looking at any point, but at some kind of horizon. I had no fear or anxiety, neither peace or anything else. It was like I had no feelings.
I was looking at them, and then I noticed that the walls of my room were not solid anymore. They were some kind of curtains, moving like my room was outside. Behind them you couldn't see anything, only a blue radiant moving mass.

It was like I could read the entities minds, and the only thing I received from them was 'Look how fake your reality is.'

They disappeared and I was left with a deep feeling in my inner self.

I too experienced the 2D point of view with DMT, everything started to join together into a cartoonish/lego like, all that I could saw was a sheet of paper with things painted over it and I was a part of it, individuality wasn't an aspect anymore, like that is a chair next to a table, NO all were joined in one and of course, instant ego death, time loss and felt like eternity.

I guess I'll try salvia, but I can't quite let go of my ego, this is the only thing that's scares me. Will see...

Yes it can be a little scary but I think it's worth it. I've to try DMT, latest Salvia trips are being a little... cold.

Ive yet to try dmt also, but I know sally quite well. ( read that as " have experienced her" as to this day I have no idea who or what) Your t shirt reference jarred a memory loose. Right around the tenth time or so I tried it I transferred into a railway station, still in my room though and noticed I was on the tracks and a train was comming. I couldnt move out of the way though. Freaking out I noticed the conductor to my right, and then I could move my arm in a swinging motion. I realized I was the door of a wooden fence that ran along side the tracks and my arm movement was the lock on the door, swinging, locking and unlocking the door/myself. Ive been inanimate objects a few times.

One of the more profound ones was I was dead, just killed, and my mind was my name written. Very traumatic but profound. It reminded me of the Christian text where "their nams were written in the book of Life"

A friend of mine became a piece of barbwire on a fence in the middle of a war.

It goes on and on, I really wish I would have taken notes. I get some strange feeling like its all a place I used to "live" before, and most likely will go back to, once Im finished learning all my lessons "out here" where we're at now. Kind of a sick deja vuu, or something eerie like that. I could go on and on about salvia, it fascinates me beyond...words, I guess.

If you dont mind going into it, elaborate on what you mean by "cold". I wonder if I can relate, Ive had some jarring ones and Im also fascinated when someone Ive never talked to, or met before has shared the exact same trip I have. It happens more often than coincidence.

Salvia divinorum can be ingested orally, which was a common ROA for indigenous tribespeople to use the leaves. This induces a gentler, longer, and more drawn out experience. Traditionally the leaves were often either brewed into a tea, or just swallowed whole by the fistful. Salvia is technically considered to be orally inactive because the digestive system degrades the active compounds so efficiently. Because of this, the dose for oral ingestion is significantly higher than that of smoking and quidding.

If you want to try a different ROA, try quidding some leaf matter. This allows the actives to be absorbed through the buccal tissue, so they still bypass the digestive system. From my understanding this produces a longer experience with a slower onset and slower comedown (closer to that of oral ingestion), and requires a higher dose than smoking but not nearly as high as oral ingestion.

Reading your first experience with salvia really mirrored my own experience with sally. I'd only tried it once. I'd tried a 45x extract and put a torch to her at a friends house and sat in a chair.
I remember as soon as I took the 3rd hit and held it my entire vision had scattered into a keliedoscoped crystalline fractal.
I found myself slowly turning my head turning the visions. Then suddenly it felt as if I was turning around and every time I did I got this strange looping feeling. Almost like every time I turned around I was seeing a slightly different version of my surroundings.
Then suddenly it hit me. I wasn't real. I hadn't ever really existed to begin with. I was the figment of somebody else's imagination. I was the quirky side character in the play; the protagonist of the video game; the dnd character. Me smoking salvia had made me realize it.
It was so definitive, there wasn't any arguing with it. I didn't even feel bad.
It took me years and years to really process that existential trip. To this day it may be my only "bad trip", but it was certainly one of the more memorable and profound.

A little hard to explain. It's like I'm not welcome there anymore, you know? Every time I smoke it I get this anesthetic feeling in my mouth and I don't like what I see. I think it's because of the dose being too low. Also I need to try to do it blindfolded.

I hear you. Let me ask you this, you dont like what you "see", or is it "feel"? If its visual, what are you seeing? Most of my negative experiences were being reminded of how horrible a person I've become over time. How I've forgotten ...how do you say, what it is to be life. How amazing this all is and Ive become something else..ive forgotten. Like that Slipknot lyric "We all got left behind, we let it all slip away." ...if you know what Im saying.

Definatly give it a go with your eyes covered. Ive had drastically different experiences with oev's and cev's. My preferred way towards the end was always laying back with my eyes closed.

Just thinking about it reminds me, all this is actually happening. I believe its possible we all have spent massive amounts of time, in many different places, that our memories werent/arent capable of storing long term, and recalling. So we were given tools that remind us for a moment, like an old photo album. And then we're back to the daily grind of working the earth all our lives.

It's easier to take plain leave as a quid then a 20X extract, because salvinorin A isn't easily absorb by itself, the leaf compounds (chlorophyl and such) are understood to help absorbtion.
But also with sensitivity and ROA/dosage everyone is different, so it may work for you better than for other.
