Hi in inexperienced in making of dmt but I want to do it but dealers are shady and I want to know what I'm ingesting so figured I'd make it myself. Was wondering what plants around san antonio contain dmt?

I'm not looking for something to order online 😕
I've gotta be careful how I phrase this since talk about sourcing isn't allowed, but mimosa hostilis root bark is the most commonly used thing to extract DMT from (and is not illegal to buy or sell (in the U.S.)). I've never seen a physical store selling it, and it'd take a good bit of time and effort to grow and harvest your own mimosa hostilis tree (although nobody's stopping you, not even the cops - the tree is legal as well).

I've never been to San Antonio, so I can't speak on your guys' shrubbery, but MHRB is the most commonly used for a reason. It's potent and pretty easily available. There are alternatives, which will generally produce smaller yields or take more effort, or have a smaller source of teks for you to follow to actually perform the extraction. Chances are you've got plants in your front yard that contain DMT, but in such trace amounts and no existing methods for extraction that it's not worth the effort to perform. I'd take a look at the few most commonly used plants for extraction, and if you can't get any of those in person (to satisfy your purely gardening desires) then you're probably out of luck.

The internet is a pretty nifty place though with a lot of legal stuff to buy. Good luck

@FlagellaStink hey, just wanted to chime in here - I know you have the community's best in mind, so I won't make a big fuss out of it, but please also refrain from sharing links to places like the one you shared. Among reviews, they also provide information about sourcing. If one is inquisitve enough, they can get to that place themselves too, and we'd prefer to keep the Nexus in the clear in any case.

@Jake9234 I assume you have, but just in case you haven't, I'd kindly urge you to go over our Attitude Page.

And if you have any extraction-related questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Cheers!

I was curious if I was able to get the bark the extraction process I saw online had to do with water lye and this stuff I forget the name but he said after the extraction of the dmt liquid that it needed to be frozen for 2 to 3 days. Is there another way? I can't be leaving this in my freezer for 3 days lmao are there multiple methods with the root bark or just the one?

It sounds like your living situation is currently not amenable to perfrming a DMT extraction in general if you can't put what you want into the freezer when you want for as long as you want.

You might be better off taking some time to look through the forum and grasp the basic principles of extraction. There are various methods and 'teks' but virually all of them reduce down to the same few fundamental principles in how they work (except for one that I'm currently developing).

Still a little confused why this is in the Cacti sub.

Mjght get more views in one of the DMT Sub forums.. 🤔

Just had me confused for a bit. Reading up on some mescaline content and switch threads and we are talking about DMT. Had to do a double check .

He might get more responses in the right forum.

Another option for you is to use the app/website "inaturalist"

In the past I've found this site very useful in tracking down plants that grow locally, or to find locations of where one-might find plants/fungi near by.
It's a really good resource I've found very beneficial in my wild plant/fung search and learning.
