I couldn't resist coming back to check up on this debate.  I think this is a really good idea.  Or, alternatively, the 'wisdom' section could become some sort of files section for thoughts from all members.  Then Blackclo's view would no longer look like the endorsed view of the site, but merely as the opinion of a certain belief system, among a collection of other belief systems.  I'd be really interested to learn about Acolon_5s belief system, for example, if he chose to share it there.  And maybe even each person's offering of 'wisdom' could have a forum beneath for others to discuss their viewpoint, and for the author to defend it if they so wished?

I'm not actually into censorship, I'm just against the apparent endorsement of the viewpoint due to its position, as Infundibulum says, which sends out the wrong message.  This is actually the most intelligent drug-based forum that I've ever seen, but the 'wisdom' is going to put off some people.  I actually find it quite scary that her views appear endorsed... and her comments in the thread on the 'wisdom' content have shown her to be undeniably homophobic.

But if the route of no-censorship is to be taken, then the admin must be prepared to allow people to post other distasteful worldviews such as racism, fascist and fanatical views for example.  I'm sure this wouldn't happen, because to be honest I'm amazed even to hear Blackclo's views, because I always assumed that hallucinogen users would have learnt to be tolerant.  If it's true that Blackclo founded this site, as someone said, then I guess her views are the views of the site, and if that's the case then I fear Infundibulum's wise proposal will never be enacted.

I still think it would be much easier for Blackclo to just edit out her homophobic references for the sake of harmony (just as one would any other deeply controversial ones, for example being anti-choice or perceiving disabled people to have been punished through past life deeds).  Views like these could be discussed in a more democratic environment.
