Second STB Extraction (white goodies, with alittle Red?)

SO, this is the second time SWIM did a STB extract. Using food grade Lye 50g per 2.5 cups of water, 100g of pulverized mhrb and 1.5-2 cups of crown naphtha. first extract used klean strip naphtha and got yellow dmt. this time SWIM used Crown Naphtha and received nice white crystals and some really bright red crystals...(Jungle?)

Let me know what you guys think.. .4 g of crystals per 100g of bark, and only on one pull air evaporate ready the next morning!

It won't be jungle as that's not all that soluble in naphtha, unless you use a heavier naphtha and evapped. Though if it freezed precipped, chances are it's not jungle.

Sometimes the tannins from the mimosa can carry over into the solvent phase, this is usually visually apparent in the colour of the solvent before you feeze/evap.

the solvent color was clear as day, there was just one part of the dish that looked yellowish, when scrapped it turned bright red...

While SWIM never evaporated a complete pull of naptha like that, depending on your naptha's properties it may be jungle


This thread talks about SWIM's experience with naptha and jungle.
That being said it could be something nasty that got into the reaction or a mystery something so for sure be cautious!
