So I remember a documentary I once watched about recreating the "religious experience" - exploring how people may see angels, speak to God, feel at one with the univers, for example, and I remembered while coming down from hyperspace I have experienced this feeling of a presence, more specifically for me, a woman couple with the feeling of euphoria.
I wonder if these experiences are linked. Stimulation of the temporal lobes and the lymbic system causes people in a sensory deprived environment to sense presences and sometimes see faces. It is interesting listening back to the patients experiences how similarly some of them descibe part of what I experienced on DMT.
There is obviously lots of other factors when on DMT but I would bet there is something similar going on.
