my buddy is looking for a sep funnel haven’t tried it yet but would like to step up his process in the lab. it seems like it might but i’m no expert letting him know. here’s a photo of it and its components.

How about pipetting from off the top of the soup straight into a sep funnel with 100ml of water in it already, then you are washing your NPS to get rid of suspended NaOH particles and can use the sep funnel to drain off the water before you drain the NPS into your precipitation vessel at the end of the pull?

Still sounds, to me, like a recipe for a bunged up tap eventually though, but I've never used such a thing so i may well be wrong
