Set and Setting, not just for tripping

Migrated topic.

So it has occurred to me that set and setting is something to be considered not only when about to experience the spice, but also when working on extraction. Well my set and setting are ready.

After working with the ACRB tek that EW posted a few times. Reading, reading, and rereading everything I can find on extractions, and learning a little bit about chemistry, the final component has showed up.

I received my PH meter today. With that, the lab equipment I was luckily able to source second hand and relatively cheap, the hands on experience from the first few tek run throughs, and all the invaluable info from the great people at the Nexus, I will attempt the 'MAX ION' Tek by Cyb.

I am excited. I do have a suspicion that I am working with a low yielding plant, but I feel like I will have no doubts after this attempt. Even with a low yield, what I will have gained from the experience will be more than worth it.

I know you guys probably hear this a lot, but thank you. The amount of work and time you spend shows, and its all to help others like myself. I am sure there are many people who would never get the chance to delve in to the depths of Dimitri had you all not been here.

Namaste, ehud!

My experience with a pH meter was poor. It was tricky to calibrate, and you couldn't let the tip dry out while in storage. Also seemed not to like bark soup.

Litmus papers were 1000x better, IME.

Thank you Chan and Namaste. I was worried about those problems, but I found a meter for like 10$ so I figured I would give it shot. I have litmus papers, but they basically just tell me if my solution is basic or acidic.
