Hello there!
I’m new to DMT forum and I hope I could ask some specific question which I have not found an answer to. I hope some of you that might be able to share your knowledge. I myself have some experience with ayawhasca but after reading some of the information/discussuions on DMT forum I must admit I am still in dipers. Or maybe not even consice yet!
1. Storing:
For how long can MHRB be stored in a shelf (cold, dark, airtight) or in a frezzer and still be good for an ayahuasca brew? I have read that with time there is some oxidation of DMT into other components. Interestingly this components seem to also have psycoactive properties.
So if I put in an air tight bag and freze it at -17C, would it stay good for lets say 10 years? What about the same but in a cold dark shelf?
I have read all the threds in the FAQ and what I could find in the net but all info mainly gravitated towards storing of DMT in cristal form.
I have also heard that 6 month in a shelf gave minor deterioration. Will putting it in a freezer slow it down? And for how long could it be keept in a freezer?
If it will inebitaly oxidate, will a DMT n-oxide ayawhasca brew be a good experience? Most of what I have found of DMT n-oxide is vaporized info so not sure what to make of it. It all points as OK but some one with experience on oral way would be appreciated!
Also if deterioration is an issue, could it be compensated by adding more MHRB to the brew?
2. Cappi vs. Peganus
I have brewed ayawhasca probably about 4 times using Mimosa (10g)and Peganus (5g) with good results.
On another ocation I tried to prepare a brew with capi (75g powder) and Mimosa (12g) but the journey lasted only around 45 minutes. Not sure why but it seems I got better results with MH + peganus.
Still, I read the very interesting sicky note from the ayawhasquero stating the importance of Cappi in traditional brews. Is there anything to learn there? Does the recepi (Mimosa (10g)and Peganus (5g)) lacks any insights that might be lost to translation from the old shamanic ways.
Thanks!
