I was thinking of ordering a San Pedro, but I live in New England, where it is bitterly cold out: the highs are in the 30s, lows in the teens, and I was wondering if a cactus cutting could survive being transported through that.

Should I wait for spring?

I live in New England and have ordered them in the winter.

I would choose a speedier shipping method (obviuosly), but it shouldn't be exposed to freezing conditions for very long during transit so it should be fine.

If you order from a supplier who cactii are their whole business, some also sell shipping warmers for a few bucks. They're like those things you'd put in your gloves at an outdoor event. Ive never added one, but I'm further south.

be careful air packages can and will freeze to death
i have had plenty of issues in the past!
