I tried having a little NN session today, the room was warm from the sun and I put a heater on too.

Heart rate wasn't bad and soon calmed further after a couple of small NN hits, though instant shivering and cold hands and feet, I had some uncontrollable shivering on my last session so with it happening again today it put me off going very far, I still spent an hour taking small hits but I could tell if I took a bigger hit I'd be back to uncontrollable shivering. Last week's session ---> My Syrian Rue Tea & Vaped DMT Sessions

So I'd call today a failed attempt and I'll try again with much more heat and bigger socks tomorrow! Maybe I need a granny blanket?!

I certainly wasn't cold to start with but temperature is something I seriously need to address cos its too distracting.

I’ve quite regularly thought about buying an electric blanket specifically for this, for those moments during a session when I get really cold.

What currently works to some degree for me, is drinking a couple of cups of tea before going in. Somehow that helps a bit too bring my body temperature up. And I usually lie under a blanket as well, which definitely helps.

Still, the idea is nice and I’m curious to hear whether, if you try it, it ends up being as nice in reality as I imagine it in my head to be.

It happens to me very often with pharma (with aya not so much). To me, getting under a blanket helps, but mostly psychologically, as it doesn't tend to do very much to prevent me from shivering. The times I have added more blankets I've found I'm extremely hot once the DMT starts coming down, to the point it worries me that my temperature may actually be elevated and it may not be a good idea to add many blankets even if I feel cold. As smoked DMT lasts much shorter, it's probably not a concern in that case. And it may be that body temperature doesn't change much in either direction, or goes down. It could be interesting to actually measure it.

One thought I did have was i wondered if it was a blood sugar thing, so maybe a sweet hot chocolate / cacao or something just before starting a session.
I was definitely better after tea & cake on my previous session, though the first was literally shaking and I felt it had to come out versus trying to hold it at bay.

There was certainly talk in the Spirit Molecule book about Rectal Thermometers, so Mr Strassman must have some good temperature data!

I was probably a bit in-between food today if I'm honest but not hungry

DMT makes me corpse cold. My husband said it was all the blood rushing to the center of the body, but who knows. I do know that I like to go in with long sleeves, tucked under a couple blankets. Even then I come out of it with very cold extremities.

I understand some folks get kind of hot flashes.

I think it's just an individual response and you and I share the response of: Our bodies get very cold when we travel to hyperspace.

I concur, it makes me cold too. I've seen that reported a lot. I usually have a blanket since I do it in cozy spots.

I'd think it must have something to do with blood flow to extremities. Like in hypothermia situation when the body constricts blood flow to extremities to prioritize vital organs. Maybe the psychological effects of feeling like you're dying could trigger a physical preservation mode. Or maybe the body's way of clearing a perceived toxin even more rapidly, if more blood is actually circulating through the vitals.
