Sick of burning my DMT(probably)

I have been trying to smoke DMT for a while. First time extracted using the Cybs' Hybrid ATB 'Salt' Tek and after failing with the sandwich method and a bong, more times than my pride can take, i decided to get a dabber.
Two months forward I extracted again got 0.65g out of 50g MHRB, not the best but FINE, at least I can finally see what this stuff is.
After doing some research i decided to do a cold dab, so i load the dmt(0,05g,maybe way too much) and start hitting if with the flame, when the DMT has liquified and bubbles are shown i stop and when i see smoke i inhale. I wait 10 sec and absolutely nothing happens. I have no idea what i did wrong. I am frustrated. please just point me to a place where i can read or even better watch a video.

Firstly, 0.65g from 50g bark is respectable enough.

Strange that the bong sandwich method didn't work for you. How long did you hold the smoke in? Have you used any other psychedeic substances, and if so, what kind of dosage range did you require?

While I can't specifically comment on the dabber due to lack of experience, I do wonder whether you really mean smoke, or if it was vapour you were seeing. The point is to vaporise the DMT, which requires an element of fine control. When you get it right it should produce thick, white clouds of vapour. It should be relatively comfortable to inhale, and have a broadly acceptable flavour - although this last one is admittedly somewhat subjective.

Also, I thought the whole point of using a dabber was that you heat it up before placing the substance on it for vaporization.

Another thing you might want to consider is using some form of harmala alkaloids which would then considerably broaden the time window for dosage and smooth the ascent. [Importantly, we have to emphasise that there are safety aspects which must be adhered to when using harmalas.]

Is there a lot of DMT left in the banger after you hit it... is that what all that amber resin is in your banger? Also looks like there is crystallized DMT on the downward part of the stem of your banger. If so, there is your issue.

50mg is a lot of vapor, I think you would know you were taking a big hit if it was actually vaporizing all at once. 50mg of burnt DMT would make me cough my lungs out, probably after swallowing smoke from trying to suppress the cough, lol. DMT burps.

I heat it before adding the DMT, then toss the carb cap on and start drawing slowly. Getting the heat right takes a little practice, I personally heat the base thoroughly with a tealight candle. Also, I'm sure using water in the dabber is fine, but it's another variable. I have a shorter vapor path than you (i.e. a smaller dab rig) and I don't need water. I generally pull fresh air from the side of my mouth while I am inhaling. Also use a directional (vortex) carb cap and terp pearls, but I don't think that's important.

Also, I generally hold the hit in for a while. And for most people, myself included, 50mg is excessive. Even 10mg has an unmistakable effect for me.

0.65 g out of 50 g root bark is pretty decent in my experience.
Try out "the machine", this thing definitely works wonders for me and basically costs no money.
Also be careful like mentioned above, sometimes this stuff sticks inside of your pipe and will leave you speechless on your next hit.

For anyone in the future reading this, the way i found suits me best is hot dabbing. I hit the nail will a propane torch for 40seconds and let it cool for 20seconds. This is what i found is the ideal for my setup.(40seconds might be too much for your nail and it may crack due to dilation, so start low and experiment with what you have.)

I, also, happened to gain some experience with a dab rig.

It surely works, as you found.

I just like to caution those new to DMT dabbing, as I once was, to use lots of caution and care, the propane torch speaks for itself, and when you are visiting hyperspace, the torch will not care. At all.
