Hello all!!
My search started 2 years ago when I came across a video of Graham Hancock talking about an experience he had in the Amazon with an ancient brew called Ayahuasca. Subsequent searches resulted in an intriguing similarity between users of this brew. After a few web searches, I booked a trip to Peru. The resort I booked with, had on their website a few guidelines I should follow to include a diet. No red meat. Apparently red meat increases the production of MAO in the gut. I followed the instruction and cut out red meat for a month prior to the trip. After 7 days and 4 ceremonies, no affect!! Apparently I am one in a million that ayahuasca has no affect on. My gut would not let the brew into my system. I left Peru completely frustrated but determined to have the experience still. Once again I found myself on the web searching for ways to produce my own spice. Gordotek is awesome. Simple. After purchasing the appropriate test kit, I reassured myself that I had what I set out to produce.
When I booked my trip to Peru, I was so ready for the experience. There was no hesitation when the shaman handed me the 1/4cup of brew. (by the fourth ceremony it was closer to 2 full cups!!). I drank that mud water down easily. But, the thought of smoking it scared me. I was intimidated. The spice sat in my medicine cabinet, in a vial, for four months before I got the nerve to vape it. And this is why I am reaching out to this forum...for some insight.
I purchased a VapeGenie and decided I would start slow with 10mg. After drawing on the vape until the smoke cleared, I held my breath as long as I could. After 10-15 seconds went by, the dresser in my room began to distort. Colors filled my vision. But then something happened that I had not heard about on any of the trip reports I had watched. My body felt as though it was buzzing. My entire body from head to toe was vibrating. Almost uncomfortably. And then nausea set in. It was all I could do to not throw up. And a heat flash. This all lasted roughly 5-6 minutes and then stopped. No residual effects at all.
So my question is...has anyone else had this happen? Is it because of the small dose? Could it be from the slight oxidation of the spice?(it started out white but after four months it has turned a slight pink color from oxidizing I’m assuming). Or, my biggest worry is that I vaped solvent that didn’t completely escape the spice when I made it. I believe I gave it ample time to dry after the freeze precipitation but maybe not.
Well thanks for reading and I hope you can help.
