Swim is basing the extraction off of CosmicLion's full spectrum harmala extraction from B. Caapi. See B. Caapi Extraction - Full Sprectrum Extract & Purification [Tek-Pics] - Harmalas - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus for more information.
Swim started off attempting his full tek but however after hours upon hours upon hours of boiling to reduce acidified water/harmala solution swim tried something different. Swim simply filtered the whole solution through coffee filters, discarded the crud and filters then sufficiently basified the whole solution with cheap sodium carbonate converted from baking soda. This causes the freebase harmalas to crash out and the jug was placed in a cool basement to aid with this process. Then the next day the water was filtered again and the filtrate was collected and then dried producing a crude harmala extract.
The extract was orally active and strong at about 250mg. 300mg of the crude extract was enough for a pharmahuasca experience with no nausea.
Further experimentation is needed to see if there is an effect on yield or purity using this method but so far swim is very happy because it cuts out about 75% of the time needed to produce a usable extract.
Swim would also like to note that while it may slightly increase cost due to requiring more sodium carbonate it has to save a similar amount of money on the electrical or gas bill as running the stove on high for an entire day has to cost something.
