Siphoning Device keeps breaking

Hi friends,

I've keep running into problems with turkey blasters that break either almost instantly or just after a couple of uses.
They do not tend to hold the NP-solution very well also.
I'm looking for something sustainable, and cheap. I've tried syringes in diffrent sizes where the black rubber always keeps breaking, i've had small pipet's but now im extracting 200gr bark in a big container and end up with 3Liters of basic soup and need to remove about 200ml of NP-solution, a small pipet wont even reach as far in my container (im using a big 5l hdpe container).

Also im doing STB extractions, as i dont want to cook acids in my house.. Im little worried about getting anything like a seperatory funnel, cause im afraid it might clog the valve.
I've attached pictures of my broken Turkey blaster, it supposed to be Polypropylene plastic ... it didn't hold the np-solution so i attached a small pipet onto it, but now im afraid to even use it again.
And here where i live those turkey blasters aren't that easy to find, cost quite alot of money to break each time also (about 35$ each and anything less then PP plastic just breaks instantly)

Any help here is very much appreciated

I don't see why you insist on using plastics. Naphtha will eat it up as you`'ve noticed with the rubber on syringes.
ThAt ends up in your final product whether you can see it or not & no amount of recrystallization will remove it. I`d be surprised if water washes even got that stuff out.

Bite the bullet & get a 10ml pipette with removable hand pump. It will take forever, but there is no dissolved plastic in your end product. As for reach, the ones I use are 10ml, they are about 7 inches long.
I believe there are 25ml pipettes that are even longer.
I fail to see how a 7inch pipette could possibly be too short to reach into your vessel & remove the non polar layer.

Edit: get rid of the 5l hdpe container. ThAt is 1. Plastic & 2. Ridiculously huge.
Cybs tek will work perfectly in a reasonably sized GLASS container & will be much easier to manuver & reach the layers.
If you must extract 200g, do the tek 4x.
Honestly though, nobody needs 4-8g of dmt for personal use & unless your bark is terrible quality there is no real reason to extract that much.
1g, when vaporized correctly, kept to ones self, & not smoked & abused every day like pot, will last weeks if not months.

Problem is finding the glas pipettes, i can only find lab suppliers and they dont even sell it towards regular customers.
I've tried the smaller ones, from the pharmacy the ones that come with tinctures or something they only go up to 5ml or something.

Where did you bought yours ? I might be looking in the wrong direction..

Edit: Im extracting that much cause i never reach 2% and im using it for my cluster headaches.. I tend to go trough a pile of spice pretty quick..

Depending on where you live, it may be a little harder to get.
Places like Texas do not allow lab equipment to be purchased without permit.

Really though, a pipette or two is nothing that will draw any attention unless your already making mistakes (like searching & ordering lye, naphtha, etc. All on eBay with one card or having strange packages arrive all the time from other countries).

I got mine on Amazon (through tor) with an Amazon gift card.

Yeah here in europe where i live is kinda the same for lab equipment. The only thing i really need is that pipette, all chemicals are found in good quality nearby. Maybe i should just go about and order one online, im just afraid it might attract unwanted attention.

I can get my bark really close by, it might not be best quality but it does the job and doesnt attract attention
I can only get either shredded or whole bark, wich i now start to believe that the shredded might be some waste product when they are making powdered from. I might be better of getting just whole bark, but its such a pain even getting that shredded cut up in small enough pieces..

I see your dilemma now.
Have you looked into q21q21`s tek?

No pipette required (with mhrb anyways, acacia may be a bit sloppier)

Yeah i've seen q21q21's tek, but i've also seen this post Q21Q21 tek (and other limeteks) NOT recommended for shredded bark! wich makes me a little worried going about buying everything i need for that and end up with almost nothing.

Powdering bark is easy enough.
If your using your spice for cluster headaches, investing in a mid grade blender & coffee grinder or food processor will provide invaluable tools.

A glass blender powders bark fairly easy but does not do the job 100%. After that It can be run through a food processor a little at a time & finely powdered.

It is deffinately worth the little extra money considering you could go with lime tek & not have to worry about a siphoning device or plastics & phthalates ending up in your final product. Especially if you need to use it frequently to treat cluster headaches.

I would recommend using a glass extraction container (I use a 2000ml volumetric flask) and a glass syringe... both are easy to acquire on the bay.
Those two things will make your extractions much easier ime... some ptfe tubing also helps alot with pulls.

And a blender will pretty much powder your bark relatively easy... I went from whole bark to powdered in less than a half hour... a little pulverizing with a hammer and then blending it up was much easier than I ever thought it would be

Thanks for the tips, i'll try another blender, i broke 2 cheap one's already but indeed its my health we are talking about.. I should just go find everything i need regardless the money. Next time i'll just find whole bark, and get a good blender.

I have yet to break a blender & I always use whole bark.
It takes a lot of work & without gloves it can blister your hands pretty quick, but I always just break up bark strips into small pieces & then twist them apart into fibers & some very small pieces that won't break up.
From there they blend easily.

There is probably an easier way to do the job, but I havn`t needed to do more than 50g at a time so I havn`t tried.
Really as long as you break the bark up as small as you possibly can some way before blending you shouldn't run into problems with broken blenders (that & get a blender with a decent motor).

yeah they where not of very good quality, thing is with all the fibers from the shredded form it was more spinning around then accually grinding / blending. But yeah i'll buy a good one, and start with whole bark

If your using acacia you may need to use a hammer.
Preshredding mhrb by hand before blending is no problem.
Preshredding acacia by hand may be next to impossible. All the acacia i`'ve had has been very hard & woody compared to mimosa which seems to snap into small pieces & twist apart very easily.
