Hey guys, about 12 years ago when I was mostly into punk and metal I started listening to this group that changed my world and blew my mind (not that I don't still listen to that kind of thing {pretty frequently}). For most of my life this has been my favorite band and I don't see that changing. Ever. I have to assume that there are other folks like me on here. People who can let us know about similar groups (poppy but original, without being horribly pretentious).
I can't find the same version (Casablanca Moon) of the first Slapp Happy song I ever heard so here's an earlier recording which I have actually come to prefer.

Since blatant promotion of awesome bands isn't (as far as I can tell) prohibited in this section of the forum I thought I'd post this because it's Christmas and I am intoxicated and have been switching between this album and Nat King Cole and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir all night.
