slow juicing whole peganum seeds

Migrated topic.

After a break I am into extracting harmine and harmaline from syrian rue again.
The seed I bought where whole.
The first kilo I made into 1,5 liter concentrate to drink.

For the second kilo I just wanted the harmaline and harmine.
With the second kilo I came upp with an idea.

Atfer the first boil I decided to use my slow juicer to crush the seeds.
I learned before that putting them through the juicer after freezing and thowing was a bit to rough for the machine.
So, After the first boil the seeds where soft and got crushed very nice.

I kept the first pull separate from the second and third.
Only the second and third pull where with crushed seed.
The second and third left me with a messy filtering proces.

After filtering reducing and filtering again I finally filtered through a buchner with lab filtration paper and basified the lot.
Results.

1 pull, uncrushed seeds, 28 grams
2 and 3 crushed 22 grams

This does not say a lot.
I know the consencus is that powdered seeds/crushed seeds will bring a higher yield.
I really dont like the mess of powdered/crushed seeds.

anyway.
I slow juicer is a nice tool to use 8)

Are you saying that the yield from boiling/ basing /pulling on whole seeds was higher than crushed?

I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time following, i don't know much about harmalas extraction. So you performed that process, boiled, based, then pulled with a solvent, and that gave you 20plus grams of free base, then you crushed the same seeds, boiled again, based that solution and pulled another 20plus? I'm confused. Or two seperate batches?
