Sluggish donation transfer

NeitherHere

Going where life takes me.
Donator
I just tried to do my first crypto donation from a brokerage direct to the Nexus' wallet. Plisio (I'm assuming this is the intermediary) is showing a count down and saying it's waiting for the donation. The brokerage is saying it's in transit but it's been almost 20 minutes with no update.

This transfer isn't going to get rejected is it?

This is my first time transferring crypto so I'm not sure what to expect.this donation was a preliminary test before I start transferring larger sums.

Those payment systems usually require an exact amount. If you sent 10 dollars in BTC with an exange rate of 83621.39 (per your broker), that means you sent 10 / 83621.39 = 0.00011959. And that's what the payment system claims to have received, but they expected 0.0001316.
(sorry if you already know that, just pointing it out)

Weird the price per coin must have changed slightly. I wonder how I fix that. Send the remainder?

The price can be different on different exchanges, so maybe it's just that the payment processor was taking a different reference (or your exchange was giving you not to good of a price). I would usually set the amount I want to send denominated on the cryptocurrency in question instead of a dollar equivalent to avoid these issues. (Also you may want to use a different coin with lower network fees, but that's whatever you prefer)
About how to fix it this time I have no clue, sorry! I hope the admins can help you.

I've only played with crypto a bit here and there so I'm still a bit naïve and wet behind the ears. I'll look into using a stable coin next time I figured BTC has a good reputation for volatility and therefore might be a more desirable coin for the Nexus (because the donation might actually grow in the future) but yeah stable coin might be the answer next time

Thank you for donating!

Unfortunately crypo-donation is indeed pretty slow.

When testing it out, it often took me more than an hour before it was transfered.

Kind regards,

I just want to make sure that it was actually received/ accounted for because the intermediary itself was saying it was cancelled/incomplete.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I'll be donating more in the future 😁
