I read that the seeds and leaves of Lespedeza bicolor contain 5-meo-dmt. I have the opportunity to buy them, but I doubt whether they contain MAOI and whether they are absorbed by smoking, threatening to start serotonin syndrome in synergy with 5-meo-dmt?

very little is known about the plant in terms of psychoactivity from my research.

“Lespedamine, also known as 1-methoxy-DMT, is an indole alkaloid and substituted tryptamine present in the plant Lespedeza bicolor. The alkaloid bears a close structural resemblance to the psychedelic alkaloid dimethyltryptamine and was speculated to have psychoactivity by Alexander Shulgin.“

There is no 5-meo-dmt and content isn’t know from what I can tell.

Very quick search shows alkaloids in the roots. Likely minimal amounts in the seeds and a bit more in stems and leaves.
