some dark comedy

ephedra

Esteemed member
this is my favourite dark comedy film haha. Since reminds me a lot about my past in my teens.

Is a sort of coming of age in a decadent ethos;

It's a good movie. I think that Richard Griffiths/ uncle Monty stole the show. He was also very good in The History Boys. Not really a dark comedy but Alan Bennett is a great playwright...

hahah, lol. He is really a good actor. And I think that I need to watch that film you shared, thanks!

I got both of these movies put into my 'to watch' list.
But I got like 500 movies in that list, and I rarely am able to sit still and watch any.
Maybe I'll bump them up the list.

the punk spirit is like from an extreme to the other lol. That or end up in a hare krishna comune
For me the punk spirit is DIY, therefore i would class Pete Doherty moving to France and eating lots of cheese as punk, as there are many artisan DIY cheesemakers in France. I would also class the Nexus as punk due to it's promotion of the DIY mindset. Funnily enough i also moved to France about 15 years ago ,primarily to kick a near 20 year heroin habit, so i feel like a bit of kindred spirit with Pete Doherty. And i put of over 50 pounds after moving here. But i'm not as fat as Pete,. Probably due to having to get up every day and work..
Here's a heroin related, bitter sweet, waiting for godot style, irish black comedy.. It's kinda like trainspotting's homeless, scaggy little brother ............
