Hello Nexians!

Here is a link to a song of mine from a project I have been working on, on and off, for a while. It is almost complete and is somewhat of an instrumental concept album (the lack of singing will be made up with by use of a poem that will hopefully tie up the music into a coherent, conceptual package).

I played all the instruments (guitar and bass), and programmed all the drums and electronic sounds (via midi mapping), there are no prerecorded producer package loops etc. Engineered, mixed and mastered by yours truly also, as well as written by me. Quite the ego trip hey! :twisted:

Basically an outlet for my free roving mind and thought processes and, in hindsight, a channel for some hard dealt with emotions from a journey through darkness into light, a dark night of the soul if you will (the poem will touch on this theme much more). Also some fairy dust and inspiration sprinkled by the spice/changa fairy.

Anyway, enough jibber jabber. Enjoy, or don't enjoy, but most of all, listen with an open heart and mind :love:

I will post another soon. I also recorded a pretty tripped out salvia inspired piece centered around my new sitar that I will post in the Salvia Art projects thread real soon.

You were right... it is right up my alley. Some shades of Ozric in there for sure.

Congrats on a fine composition. Sounds cool on headphones with a few nice lines panning around. 😉

Thanks for the kind words HF, it means a lot coming from you :)

It's funny that you mention Ozric Tentacles, all the basic tracks had been recorded a good few years ago and I only was made aware of Ozric's about a year ago on the psychedelic music thread on the nexus. But I definitely hear the connection. The end solos were put down after I'd heard them so the influence might have snuck in there for sure!
