Hey! Nice pictures, brought back some memories :) Funny because I went in 2008 to south india and 2009 to north india with gf, and passed through many similar places

Hampi is amazing, isnt it? Did you go up Matanga Hill? Also, did you eat at mango tree?

Tele, that tree, if im not mistaken, is a Plumeria: Plumeria - Wikipedia

Wow those pictures are beautiful, really beautiful places and people. I hope I will get there one day also. thank you and post more if you can :)

I would like to ask some more details: how long one need to get around places(how long have you been there for) , how costly the trip like this would be, how did you plan this whole journey atc.

thank you

I went up one hill to see the sunset which was surreal, went half way up another hill but we were stoned and it was getting dark so we came down, forget their names. Missed the monkey hill, we just couldn't cope with the heat. Ate at mango tree twice got the special Thali on your reccomendation and it was great though tried the special mixed veg curry and I preferred that, see I eat a lot of thalis so appreciate a change. An Italian bakery in the town done these hash browns which were mind blowing. 3 nights is enough in Hampi, the beds aren't the greatest but the food was excellent, all I done on that trip was eat LOL Met loads of nice people in Hampi, meeting those travellers from Europe made me want to go for an extended period, 3 months and I'm off and it's down to my Indian holiday! Can't wait!

@ christian: i found a lot of chillums in hampi but not the famous golden one

@ endlessness: yes you are absolutely right, hampi is a very magical place.
We traveled a lot around in hampi and also up the matanga hill, the view there was amazing!! im not sure if the restaurant i remember was the mango tree. Is this the place where you can get the ,, special lassi'' and where you can sit and look at the river? If so, yes we spent many hours there, becouse the lassi was realy strong and becouse of the heat in india we didnt want to move for a long time haha.

@smokerx: im in a hurry right now becouse of new year but if you want i can send you a pm with costs of the trip (my gf wrote everything down, every price of the meals we ate, the prices of the guesthouses we slept and so on- she is an accountant you know). I will write you back with everything you want to know in a few days!ok?
