Some questions about the extraction!!

Questions:

i got N-hexane (mix of isomers), the chemical store told me that was hexane, so is this the one?

now im waiting for the hexane to turn in yellow. been waiting 3 days for it but still transparent. it have around 2cms of hexane. did i put too much? do i have to wait more?

Actually im not shaking the jar strongly, instead i just flip it 10 times (4 a day)

That solvent should work fine. Usually people use anywhere from 30 to 100ml of solvent per pull. That is 1 - 3 shots roughly. You might want to roll it around in a warm water bath for a bit, remove the solvent, place in a jar, and do another pull.
Pull around 5 times or so or until the solvent stops changing colors. If it's white that means it's saturated.

ok, it has around 300ml of hexane. when you say remove the solvent and place in a jar, does the solvent have DMT? should i evaporate it and get the crystals? or its useless? lol!

BTW!! not white sorry, transparent!!

More warmth and agitation should fill the solvent up. Remove it and combine all of your solvent pulls together and evaporate. Yes it will contain DMT.

ok, its on warm water now and i shaked it . Ill remove it tomorrow, doesnt matter if its not yellow then?

Sometimes it's not yellow, and it's just cloudy. Even if it isn't proceed with the extract. Do 5-6 pulls over a weeks time, roughly. That should get all/most/enough.

I dont think you ever shake the jar of mix with solvent, thats how you get emolsions. rolling and tipping the jar from end to end. last thing you want is microscopic bubbles of goo when you are pulling! doesnt smoke good (one would think).

n-hexane refers to only one isomer of hexane, the linear hyrdocarbon. Any hydrocarbon with 6 carbon atoms is a hexane, but the chain can be branched or cyclical, other structural isomers. So, you can't have a mix of isomers of n-hexane, but I'm sure that what you have is a perfectly good solvent for extraction.
