Species of acacia in Australia nsw?

Migrated topic.
Seeing as this is your second only post, i better get in before the more established members give you a slap...

You need to read the threads that have been posted here TEMP.

I hope you made an intro post?

really this is something about 5 minutes of research would have answered... but your best bet would probably be acacia floribunda. there are of course other species...but I'd advise you click the acacia info link in my signature and have a read of that thread its a good source of info

thankyou very much, i had looked at quite a few and id be fairly sure that there is allot of florabunda in the area around me. Just having trouble identifying them because there not flowering at the moment. is it true that it is better when the plant is not flowering? i will have a read thanks again:)

Yield from flowering acacia can be hit and miss from reports, but far more reliable to identify.
Isn't obtusifolia common over that way as well? I could be mistaken...

Yes no shortage of acacia in nsw , you just have to look , when I first started I didn't really look at that many trees , but now I find wene driving or walking that's all I do now !! Lol

It's like information , the info is there you just have to look !

@Acacia

Sorry for a post like this also but I was wondering if A. Maidenii would be best to search for or grown within SW Brisbane as most other alk containing acacias are in NSW and below.

Also I was going to do a A. Confusa and buy 1kg of powdered root bark off ebay, by any chance would you have knowledge of how customs would go with it.

All purposes of the plant matter are for dyes and such of course.

Hahaha I know was just saying for some humour :)

Yeah I've known people to get it through and such but just not worth the risk, although saves alot of time going bush hunting (which I don't really want to destroy them by my hands - elves/treespirits- or growing all just to kill it slowly later on.

I wonder if there is anyone on here that would be able to advise.

haha yer your definitely right. i shall do some more research:)thanks all for your help

..acacian and Earthwalker have all the right tips..

i have to admit i encourage research rather than instant answers..

i will say that there are quite a few positive dmt results from Acacia longifolia

a good idea is to find out what's near you, and then search for information on those species..
