STB success - but more questions arise!

Hello guys,
I've had success with STB this time around.

My problem before was I wasn't mixing the solution and solvent well enough. Now I do much more vigorous swirling for a good hour.


Anyway my issue is - I'm getting about half a gram per pull. Not bad I spose except I'm using 250g of 2% yielding top quality bark. Theres 4-5g in there but its dam slow coming out at half G per time and is taking 8 pulls

I'm not sure why that is but are there any 1 pull teks out there?


i'm kinda interested in making the whole process more efficient and faster if possible.

I got the same thing! I actually gave up after 10 pulls and I believe there is still spice hidden In there!

Try using a lot less Solvent...
around 8-10%
ie. 50g Bark = 40-50ml solvent.
It maybe a thin looking layer (depends on the neck of the jar)
Just pull and place in a glass and pull a little of the lye if necessary at the end.
Once in the glass it is much easier to see and separate.
I find that 80-90% comes out in the 1st pull.
more pulls still produces but in much less quantity.
