Storing pre-measured naptha solution

Hi Guys,

First post here. SWIM has been lurking for about a year now and researching DMT for quite a few years, now after quite a few experiences with other psychs he wants to meet Dimitri.

SWIM is planning an STB extraction and is trying to prep as much as possible so that when a suitable time between work arises he can perform an extraction. SWIM has already set aside some pre-measured naphtha (Ronsonol lighter fluid to be precise) in a sealed glass jar with cling film secured over the top with a rubber band. This was a few weeks ago and SWIM is worried that it may have evaporated a bit so the measurement is wrong. Does anyone know if any naphtha will have evapped over this time in sealed container at room temp in a dark closet? Should SWIM just remeasure to be safe?

You don't need to fret about exact solvent volumes. Unless it has evaporated a fair bit... in which case you can likely see the volume decrease and smell the fumes accumulating in a closet. If you're worried about a lot of evaporation, then you probably shouldn't store in a location with very little ventilation.

Your call. Maybe do an extra pull with solvent from the original container just to set your mind at ease...

Yeah, it was a bit of wanting the first attempt to be just as planned.

Though if it is of any interest I measured out the volume I originally put in beside the ones I had stored and the ones stored looked like they had reduced by about 1/4. So if anyone does this make sure to know that the solvent amount could change pretty drastically.

All going ahead fine now. Thanks for responding.
