It can work, however, it'll have a slow evaporation time, will likely give a goo/ wax than crystals iirc. It'll taste like a hint of oranges when you smoke it.
You can be salt out the dmt from limonene with benzoic acid to form dmt benzoate crystals. This way you can clean and reuse the solvent. And dmt benzoate vapes well, I would caution against smoking it but it vapes well in a genie.

Given i have: root bark, lye, white vinegar, distilled water and limeonine
is this plan good?
1. Acidify: Soak plant material in acidic solution (e.g., vinegar) to dissolve DMT salts.
2. Basify: Add a base (e.g., sodium hydroxide) to convert DMT to its freebase form.
3. Extract: Mix with limonene to bind freebase DMT (limonene is non-polar and safer than harsher solvents).
4. Precipitate: Separate limonene and acidify (e.g., with citric acid) to convert DMT back to water-soluble salts for isolation.
Ill snd up with a resin by the end so if i just repeat step 2 and 3 i hope to refine it.

Sounds about right, I cant comment on limo and dmt citrate formation, I'm sure others on the forum have reported on it. Benzoic acid precipitates dmt benzoate well in the limo. citric acid might too. Just use the search function and see what you find.
