Hello everyone.

So I have been using DMT for around 10 months now. Due to my addictive personality, I quickly started abusing as opposed to using. I had a truly terrifying experience that I wont even pretend to explain in this post which caused me to slow WAY down. Since that experience, I use on occasion, but am wary of high doses.

So, about 2 months ago, I too a mild 10mg dose and was really enjoying myself. ( I like to put on my favorite EDM songs, then close my eyes and just get lost in the rhythm) when out of nowhere, I felt this extremely painful pin prick in my right palm. Pin prick is the only thing I can say to describe the feeling. It was like a microscopic needle that was electrically charged pricked my hand then was gone in an instant. It snapped me right out of my experience and left me with a really unsettling feeling. Ever since that happened, about 75% of all my dmt experiences include strange translucent what only can be described as very thin spider web like strings that seem to be trying to go into the hand and arm that felt that strange sting. I tighten my fist, and walk around trying to prevent the strings from getting to my hand and arm.

knowing how absurd this sounds, and how I cannot find another description anywhere of someone having a similar experience, I have kept this to myself. that is until about an hour ago, when during my experience, I felt the exact same electric pin prick in my left forearm and the strings came back and it felt like they were going after both arms. I squeezed my fists as tight as i could because for some reason I felt like that was the only way to keep the strings from getting into me.

If anyone can help me make any sort of sense as to what this means, or could mean. or just any input at all, I would extremely grateful.

Hello and welcome!

What you're describing here seems consistent with two of the oldest adages of DMT lore - firstly, that if you carry on using DMT you will eventually encounter deeper fear than you've ever imagined. Secondly, that DMT gets progressively weirder the more you use it. In relation to your question, which appears to fall into the second category here, I can say that, while I haven't experienced this myself, I've seen a good few reports and quewstions concerning a similar set of phenomena that some people have encountered during their DMT experiences - namely, curious physical sensations and the feeling of some kind of force attempting to penetrate various areas of the body. So, while that doesn't necessarily explain anything, it may help for you at least to know that you're not alone!

If you were to step back and contemplate how these sensations might relate to you symbolically, is there anything that springs to mind. My approach would be to consider whether there's anything that you might be attempting to tell yourself or bring to your own attention. I also wonder if you can relate it in any way to the aspects of what we might call, to put a technical term to it, the previous hyperslap?

Hope this provides a bit of useful food for thought to be starting with.

Thank you for your response! I do feel better knowing that there have been instances of people having similar type of experiences. One part of your response that has really peaked my curiosity was when you mentioned the sensation of a curious physical sensation of some kind of force of phenomena trying to enter an area of the body. I would love to read in more detail of those experiences. If you could, I would really appreciate it if you could send me to some links or literature where I could read in more detail of those types of experiences.

Thank you again!
