Stronger is not Better

Migrated topic.
>There's an entire spiritual alchemy to changa just waiting to be fully explored, which includes setting, preparation and more. Stronger really doesn't even come close to approaching the finer qualities that changa can expose.

I agree 100% When you are using the herbs and plants in combination, you are activating their qualities and intelligence and that just opens up so much!

It is a *little* disappointing to see so much emphasis here on breaking through, when like Dorje says, there is so much potential for exploring and understanding the refined alchemy of the plants involved in working with Changa.

Christian,

Please don't push your views onto me as if they were gospel. Many of us have been working with issues like this, and dealing with people (some of them get very worked up and even angry) who say the kind of things you are saying here, for a very long time indeed.

I never said it was about "pushing" DMT (so you are 100% sure you are not a DEA agent?) I said, that DMT can help people. You might be in your ivory tower or Miami condo or whatever it is, on your spiritual quest, but not everyone is in that same place, nor do they have to be in order to experience the grace of DMT.

I know people, many people in fact, who have been catalysed on their spiritual quest, by those who have gotten a whole lot of DMT and then gone around their country (yes, you Americans, there are 196 countries in the world!) and then gone around and found the *right* people to give DMT to. One guy I met who became a powerful healer, met the guy who initiated with DMT in a fish and chip shop! Before that experience he was admittedly lost and that experience gave him direction. The guy with the DMT did it for *free*. He felt it was his mission to share DMT with his countrymen and he noticed so many profound effects, that for a time, he felt that this mission gave his life a lot of meaning and opened up many doors for him and other people as well. I would heartily encourage this attitude of *sharing* to those who utilise this forum.

And like I said before, regarding the guy who wants to start a clinic to give DMT to drug users, I think those actions are commendable and have nothing to do with "salvia silliness" or not utilising discretion.

Aziz was a silly man, no doubt. And his blatent advertising and crazy witchy devices for sale, were just asking for trouble. There are a LOT of people actively working with the tryptamines all over the world, who you wouldn't know about, because they are so discrete.

Btw, I apologise for possibly insulting your avatar by calling it cheesy. It is very cute! little colored candy mushrooms! As long as you are not making fun of us and are not a DEA agent, your avatar is fine and I approve.

Methinks the chocobeastie was making a joke, Christian! :p

It's always very hard to judge what's "best" in these cases just because different strengths of changa produce different experiences, which help us grow and learn in different ways... some of my most terrifying DMT experiences were from high-strength changa, but they also had some of the most profound effects on me. Some of my most interesting non-breakthrough visuals and most applicable realizations were from low-strength changa in non-breakthrough doses...

It's all good! But I do think changa is just as good an introduction to DMT as plain freebase is, you can give someone a small dose AND an interesting experience, unlike sub-breakthrough freebase experiences which are sometimes uncomfortable more than anything else... change can blur the edges of our realityscape without ripping them apart, but freebase tends to do either or.

I would change the title of this thread to: "Stronger is not always better" :)

Like it has been said, different strokes...... I think chocobeastie has enough experience himself and by introducing people so that we should listen to what he has to say. It's an interesting point of course. At the same time, there are thousands of different variables that can make some strenght be good for some and not for others. I certainly know of people who have loved to have gotten the full blast in the first try.

So I guess the best each one of us can do is to inform those who we're introducing, listen to our hearts what we think might be best for each person and tell them, but ultimately let them decide.

So true..

from past experience many folk are not are not ready for an ego destroying ride and subtle is better until someone loses their feet. But can the same be said of aya or is this just resered for the true heads?

i make my changa strong not to overdo it, but because i have baby leungs, and a like to not need to smoke too much at once, just a few tokes every 5 mins or so :)

Higher ratios like might be harder to dose in a repeatable manner. Especially when sub-breakthrough is desired and the sweet spot is narrow - like 'as close to breakthrough as possible but not'.

Here's two theories why:

1. If your not vaporizing, the flame ignites material and destroys spice. How much material ignites varies (because its a manual activity) session by session, hit by hit. Therefore, the higher ratios will result in higher variability in spice destruction and dose.

2. If your plant has stems and flowers the surface area for a given weight varies greatly. More spice will adhere to the same weight of a tiny dried multilayer flower than a stem. Therefore, the higher ratios will result in higher variability in spice content by weight and dose.

Just theories to explain experience. Enjoying the predictability and workability of 30% - when that's the intent.
