Sudsing Ammonia

In an extraction method SWIM was reading it says to use non sudsing ammonia. The ammonia SWIM has is from a certain large supply chain store and when shaken it suds. SWIM didnt see any other ammonia. Will this do? If not id like to know why exactly so i have a better understanding.

No, sudsy ammonia won't work. The suds come from a soapy chemical, which means it has a nonpolar tail. That means DMT will want to get stuck in it. Bad news.

Also, ammonia washes are worthless anyway... if you've got an ice cube with dirt frozen into the middle, would you try to wash the dirt out by running cold water over the surface?

Forget the ammonia wash. Was with sodium carbonate or do a free recrystallization...or both.

ok well SWIMs problem then is this, he started it with vinager washes, 4 of them and now has a filtered liquid. How can he finish from this point without using ammonia? If SWIM cant its ok he has another method to try out anyway. Thanx for your help on the matter!

Yes, SWIM can get lye, what should he do with it? sorta on the same note since its what SWIM is working with, does ibogaine have a light deterioration factor i should know about?
