Reminds me of the life of a human. Start out as a little knot, slowly grow, then once you get a little bigger your growth explodes, you get picked, shrivel up, and are then ingested by a higher being.

Flush #2 is underway.

Oh I love them! Beautiful little organisms, give them much love and make em grow strong! Much luck to you with the project =)

From another tray, but a worth noting dense cluster.

Also, something that interests me, is MOST of them have black spots on the caps. Very bizarre.

Beautiful organism wow

the spots might be result of a virus?
like barepatch disease on other edible mushrooms

Update on 6 in by 9 in tray:

WOOF!!! really beautiful work my friend!!

my little golden teacher kit has turned out to be pretty lame....massive colonization of the substrate but no pinning. after two weeks i resaturated the kit for 12 hours, drained and have been watching to see if anything comes forth.

so far, so bad.... :(

ah well....i suppose i should just do it right from scratch instead of being a lazy ass....

You should give this a try: Waylit's Pan cyan Tek

Great things are said about pans.

If you would like to learn about pan growing, I have all of the links necessary for learning, already gathered and stored (example growlogs, fruiting chambers, parameters, etc.). Just pm me if your interested.

As you can see, the cakes are running out. Fewer fruits, but much larger in size. Does anyone know why they do this?

The other tray had a pretty interesting pinset--from a ton of medium sized to a few huge ones.
