As we are already walking a thin line with this board it's important to stay away from everything that draws the wrong attention to this board.

Synthesis and precursors are one bridge too far for the moment. Altough synthesis is very interesting, the chances of creating the wrong components is much higher compared to the biological plant extraction teks, this is inherent to the increased complexity with synthesis. Once the media creates the link with 'dirty' synthetic DMT and people ending in hospitals, DMT will get the stigma of a deadly drug. We don't need this stigma, especially since we currently have scientific proof of the relative safety of DMT.

Maybe I'm painting a black picture but in this hyperspace, it's better to be safe then sorry for the moment.

If the experts at synthesis don't agree with this (safety and illegal issues), please PM me and bring me up to date.

Kind regards,

I don't agree that products of faulty synthesis are particularly dangerous (NMT, DMT, and perhaps a few carbolines..it is a tricky synth) there are about a handful of possible products. however, I do agree that handling the reagents, proper washing/filtering/evap of product, as well as the process itself, can be quite hazardous. I also agree that it was too much/too soon for this young board, and apologize for getting people's hopes up. I appreciate you letting the thread go for as long as it did, and respect your decision as an admin, I saw it coming. you probably made the right authoratative decision.
feel free to pm me with any questions.

Outrageous! I don't agree at all. Everything discussed here is illeagal, this sight is devoted to DMT. Its called the "DMT Forum". That suggests a place where like minded people can discuss DMT. I totally resent any kind of constraint on what I am allowed to think about. This was one of the few places in the world where I thought I could talk freely and openly. Now even this place has been invaded by the "Thought Police". Bad call Traveler.

Well, you can still think about anything you want any way you want to... it's just that you put the already dubious freedom of exchanging that information here in danger going on doing so, to that I agree. You surely know that "freedom of speech" is only effective on the paper and like all your precious freedoms, as soon as someone powerful decides to shit on them, they're just fancy ideas. We live in oppression, a free world does neither need governments nor money. There is a difference between idealism and pragmatism and being pragmatic about it is a smart move.

Actually, it was me who advised this measure. You can always think what you want...in fact you can even say what you think! However, there have been other forums in the past where people could speak as freely as they want and were taken over by LEO. Like literally, the LEO took over the server and was monitoring activity. I do not want to see that happen to this forum. Some people who did not have a basic understanding of chemistry were starting to ask about precursors, that, to me is a liability.

I’m sorry you disagree Magic Clown, but as you can see, we are not limiting your freedom to disagree or announce your dislike publicly. If you are that interested in chemistry of tryptamines and DMT in particular, there are still many, many sites that allow for its open discussion.
