Tabernaemontana leaf cuttings?

Does anyone know if you can make leaf cuttings from tabernaemontana spp?

I have a small tabernaemontana holstii plant, a couple tabernaemontana undulata seedlings, and I should have a tabernaemontana sananho plant arriving in the mail any day now. At first glance the T. Holstii plant looks kind of similar to a psychotria. I am curious if they can be propagated in the same manner.

Tabs seem to propagate better via root cuttings from what I've been able to learn. I have a friend who says iboga will propagate from leaf cuts, but the ones he sent me all failed, and when pressed he admitted he'd never done it himself. Real ibo growers will tell you that they propagate them either by seed or root cuttings, though I have no details at this point.

My Tab. divaricata (admittedly not a difficult species) will easily propagate from roots. The way I discovered it was I had a potted plant that sent roots through the bottom of the pot into the soil underneath. As winter approached I brought it into the greenhouse for protection, breaking off all those roots. The next spring new plants emerged right where the pot was sitting the previous year. Maybe you could try something similar.

I've been hesitant to buy T. sananho, because the vendor I've been looking at only offers unrooted stem cuttings, and to my knowledge stem cuts from the Apocynaceae are notoriously difficult. Will yours be rooted when you get it?

The plant I'm receiving will be rooted. I already received a small t sananho plant with a small amount of roots, but nearly the whole stem was smashed in transit. I tried to revive it, but had no luck. When I e-mailed the vendor he told me this was the first time he had a problem with a plant arriving smashed and that he would send me a new heavily rooted cutting that will survive shipping.

Sooner or later I will give leaf cuttings a try, but for now I'm just going to let my plants grow larger. I will also definently have to try making root cuttings when I get ready to repot. I'll make sure to post if I have any success with either of these methods.
