Tap water for extraction

well someone accidently bought distilled water, well not really. it said distilled on the bottle but when he looked at the bottle and in super fine print on the back of it says, enhanced with minerals, calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and magnesium sulfate "enhanced with minerals, calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and magnesium sulfate"

I know this isn't tap water but it might as well be IMO. Just curious if one could use this water. the search funtion and google didn't bring up much exept a tek that described NAOH and tap water then re-crystal. that doesn't really help the issue as that isn't the tek one is useing. will any of theese minerals hurt? he probably wont re-crystalize. he will defat once though.

The plant material itself contains hundreds of times more chemical compounds than any city water contains.

The only time you want to use distilled water is when you are dealing with isolated compounds and absolute purity is required or when using compounds that are destroyed by the chlorine often found in city water. For example, LSD is destroyed by chlorine, so when working with that, you need distilled or non-chlorinated water.

Its no problem .. it just means the water is slightly basic . Tap water is ok for an acid base or straight to base on raw plant material. Do not use it for advanced stuff or with cleanup procedures and all will be well. Peace!
