Note: I WILL NOT claim any of the recipes given to be mine. Feel free to add a name/dedication you would like attached to it(I remember comming up with my first tea recipe).

please post any tea recipes you got, their effects(sleepy, energy, immunity, stress relief, etc. etc.), along with any health benefits they got(serotonin precursor, builds up immune system, prevents cancer in x). PLEASE SITE YOUR INFORMATION.

Tea Recipes:

Mint tea: Mint + Spearment

Ketoret Tea: Cloves, Nutmeg, Cinammon - Sleep aid

Green tea Kombucha: germaicha green tea
the trick is to boil 4 cups of water with 3/4 a cup sugar
steep 5 tea bags in this off of heat for like 20 mins
for every 2 cups of tea u add to the jar
u add 5 fresh cups water
then u just add the mushroom
float it
let it sit with a paper towl covered with rubber band in the dark
for like 10 days

Nadir's sleepytime: 10 parts Turnera diffusa (aka Damiana)
3 parts Angelica Archangelica
3 parts Yellow Caapi leaves
4 parts Anise seeds (Pimpinella anisum)
+ some peppermint leaves
Best sweetened with honey.

Fractal's Bittersweet Rejuvination: yarrow, salvia apiana, salvia offinalis, salvia divinorum, peppermint and ginger

House's Morning Divinity: white jasmine tea with goldenseal and echinichea. Flavor with honey, limes, and a pinch of ceyenne pepper.

Sweet&Sour Tea: Honey & Lemon.

NoName 1: St.John's Wort with lactuca virosa


Ingredients:

You can get really mother fucking good tasting green tea, you just gotta know where to look. Mighty leaf makes a good 'green tea tropical' tea. I took a nutrition class that said actual tea leaf/buds have the antioxidants that is good for you, while other teas do not. Although they may have other benefits.

you got a recipe / a link to what plants got antioxidants and a description of antioxidants/what its good for and ill add it in. i left blanks so that anyone who comes across it can add on

I don't believe the antioxidant activity of plants has much anything to do with their health benefits. Its nutritional marketing hype. In vivo evidence is largely lacking. Some antioxidants even behave as pro oxidants in vivo.

SWIM is fan of rooibos tea. Its got a nice taste and no caffeine.

Not so, where are you getting your information? The antioxidants in green tea has shown to be beneficial.

"Green tea contains polyphenolic antioxidants that have shown anticarcinogenic properties in animal and in vitro experimental studies." "Oxidative damage to DNA is associated with incread risk of cancer, and there is evidence that improved antioxidant status in vivo, achieved, e.g., by dietary supplementation, lowers oxidative damage to DNA and may help lower cancer risk."

That's prebagged tea.....anyone can go online and buy a bag of tea.....im talking about hand made with fresh ingredients(herbs/spices/etc.) nothing dried/premade
 
I really like experimenting with the herbs.
Here's one nice recipe:
(best to drink before bed time)
10 parts Turnera diffusa (aka Damiana)
3 parts Angelica Archangelica
3 parts Yellow Caapi leaves
4 parts Anise seeds (Pimpinella anisum)
+ some peppermint leaves (best fresh)
it's better to put honey than sugar, but don't forget that hot temp. (~80 Celsium) is bad for honey.

Ephedra sinica

Peppermint mixed with spearmint is good stuff. same goes for combining St.John's Wort with lactuca virosa.

My mistake. Orange peels work nice sometimes in tea.
 
Heres a good one..

dig up some danylion roots..take them home and chop them up into little pieces..and roast them..and then use them as a coffee substitue in a cofee maker..I did it once a while ago and it was good. digging up all those roots took some time though.

Yerba mate! Plenty of caffeine, with trace amounts of Theobromine and Theophylline. The other xanthines are believed to be responsible for taking the edge off the caffeine.

I was a skeptic, but the stuff gives me loads of energy while not interrupting my sleep patterns or making me anxious or jittery.
 
This morning I mixed some white jasmine tea with goldenseal and echinichea (sp?) along with some local honey, limes, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
