Temple Earth: Church of Entheogenic Spirituality & Ethnobotanical Temple of Humanity

Migrated topic.
Infundibulum mentioned the Temple of the True Inner Light, in The Nexus Way thread, google it Coatl, tis good research, it's kind of the synthetic equivalent of what you're proposing in that it advocates a bundle of entheogens but does not condone the other drugs.

I'll check that out.

I'm the servant of the plants, you just need to listen to what the plants have to say! And listen to whats within yourself!

it sounds more like a community than a church of god.

It is more of a community than a church, but it's both, I suppose.

Concioussness is above all things, if you wish to call her god or however, fine by me

God, Tao, the Great Spirit, Shiva, concioussness, life-force, whatever you wish to call it...

Hobbyist style extraction of DMT may never be 100% legal, but will persist underground as long as the plants remain legal. The only way it's going to find itself at all legal is if the methods are overhauled and cease to resemble meth production. This overhaul will also be imperative so as to not fuel the case against the legitimacy of the botanicals.

Is anybody starting to understand why I only advocate botanicals? It's just going to be too hard to get extracted chemicals legalized and IMHO, not worth it.

I understand your thinking, but my foaf's sacrament is smoked extraction so he needs a place for him :)

And thats were your church comes in.

I'm glad it exist, very glad.

As I said it fills a gap which my church has left in the community.

I hope both our organization can work together. I'm in the process of getting a website up for the church. I'm terrible with computers tho.

I've decided the full name of my church is "The Temple Earth: Church of Entheogenic Spirituality & Ethnobotanical Temple of Humanity"

[quote='Coatl]Hmmm... T.E.C.o.E.S. & E.T.o.H.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! (sorry for winding you up all the time!)

So for short it's just Temple Earth or the Entheogenic Way.

You can say "I'm a member of Temple Earth, a follower of the Entheogenic Way".

This document is intended as a formal Declaration of my Religious and/or Spiritual Beliefs.

I, the undersigned, do hearby declare that traditional entheogenic botanicals are an essential and inseparable part of my religious/spiritual practice.

Due to ecological and social factors adversely affecting sacred botanicals in their native habitats, I also acknowledge that cultivation of such is a bonafide religious/spiritual practice and responsibility.

I do therefore declare that my consumption and cultivation of holy sacramental botanicals including but not limited to Lophophora ~ "Peyote", Caapi/Psychotria/Diplopterys ~ "Ayahuasca", Trichocereus ~ "San Pedro" and Psilocybe Mushrooms to be a strictly religious/spiritual practice afforded First Amendment protection under the Constitution of the United States of America and is the birthright of each and every human being upon this Earth.

How could I make this better? Any tips? Ideas?

For verification of legality, i would recommend consulting with a practicing lawyer in order to eliminate any necessary legal loopholes that would need to be addressed. In addition, I would urge the need to get your document notarized once it's prepared--and laminate it!

Talking to a lawyer seems like a good idea... but notarizing it? Isn't that incriminating myself and the person taking the entheogen (in the case of most entheogens)?

Would witnesses help?

I'm going to create a myspace account for "Temple Earth" and post it here when I'm finished.

These are excellent questions for the lawyer when he is consulted. I would have to say that this step cannot be overlooked if we really want to make our existence official with the assurance of as little legal trouble as possible. I wish i had the answers to share, but I'm no lawyer.
