testing acacia ?

*4 oz fresh to 1/2 gallon H20
*Simmer for 1 hr.
*Strain through mesh screen.
*Strain again through T-shirt over bucket or bowl.
*Do this x3+
*Optional : For further filtration, allow liquid to settle for 2 hrs, then carefully pour off tea, leaving sediment on bottom.
*Put filtered tea back into pot.
*Simmer overnight on low, or in a few hours on med/high. Try not to boil

Now, you can either boil down to say 4 ozs of liquid extract, leaving you roughly with about an ounce of leaf to each liquid ounce. Or you can take this further if you desire more potency.

allow your extract to evaporate fully in oven on LOW for about an hr or so.

Hey , i saw this tek on a website about P.V , can i use this tek on acacia cuz i have an acacia tree and i couldn't id it buti think it might be acuminata , and im not into getting the trouble extracting with nahptha , and this looks like an easy way to find out if the thing has any DMT in it ...

You would probably need an acid when simmering and a freeze-thaw (preferably in the acidic solution before you start the simmer, then use that liquid it was in to simmer it with)
How are you going to determine if there is any dmt in it? ehrlich testing kit?
Why not research how to id it first? Acuminata isnt that hard to id.

A.Acuminata is apparently active orally without any additional MAOI by the way. Adhere to dietary precautions..Be careful its a powerful plant.

Theres an id thread to post pics in do a search, the nexus also has a strong emphasis on doing your own research and educating yourself about such matters. You never know you might even enjoy it!

Heres a start. Get a cutting of stem and phyllodes and/or take a good detailed picture then check worldwidewattle for its distinguishing features such as seed pods phyllode shape and length, flowers, gland position, bark structure. Compare it to your sample and deduce from there. Goof luck!

well .. i confirmed that it is acacia acuminata .. and i working on about 300g of root bark , what tek to u advise me to do ,, this is my first extraction , is it good to try the tek i wrote here for a start ? and if i did an a/b extraction can i use sodium carbonate insted of sodium hydroxide ? id really love to hear the answer ,,, thanks already

There is plenty of information around yoi just need to do some reading.
Please consider phyllodes and small branches for next time taking root bark will most likely condemn the tree to death.

ya i know im reading but im getting a little lost thts all , and im a bit new to this ... and i really hate killing poor acacia , it was a very huge tree and there were roots that are one meter long , i just took some , and after that i found out that there is 1.5 dmt in phyllodes , and i really felt bad for taking the roots .. and im doin the tek i posted before , so if u have any notes please tell me , i just find it a good start for me ...

Step 1: Figure out if it's a good type of tree.

Step 2: Learn how to extract without killing the tree.

dont know , i was thrilled that it was acuminata and i had no internet connection in the farm , tht was not professional , and stupid from me .. and i felt bad about that , and i dont think that what i took will kill the tree , so i guess i learned the hard way ...

Well now youve taken it it would be a huge shame for it to just go to waste.
I doubt you do in Syria (are you absolutely sure its a.acuminata?) but do you have access to ethanol? This is a tek you may want to read

If you only have access to acid and water and sodium carbonate you might be able to get a crude extract from thorough multiple filtering and boiling down to a goo then attempting a water precipitation by free basing in sodium carbonate solution but Ive never seen anyone try it and think the solution even thoroughly filtered may still be too impure to precipitate anything..
The other option could be to use tartaric acid and make a resin from that, one experienced nexus member (chocbeastie) claimed dmt tartate was smokable.

ya i think that it is acacia acuminata , the phyllodes are exactly the same , and the seed puds are exactly the same its pass the flowering season so i couldnt id the flowers , Syria imported this acacia from Australia to use it in forests ,
and ya we have access to ethanol ill try with this tek , it would be really helpful if we have naphtha here ..
and ya the ppl who know about DMT in SYria are few , and im pretty sure that im the first syrian to try this in Syria ,,
and me and my family in a safe area , but its not pretty nice to live here u know its not very cool to see ppl cutting heads and crossing people .. but thanks alot for asking
